Villa Azul was born from a simple idea: architecture doesn’t need artifice when the materials speak for themselves.

Stone, wood, and glass create a restrained architectural language, in which each element serves a purpose and expresses its own nature. The home does not seek to dominate the landscape, but rather to blend into it through serene, precise, and timeless architecture.

The beauty of the project lies not in the gesture, but in the quality of the construction.

Architecture and Landscape

The house is designed to blend with the natural topography of the lot, taking full advantage of the views of the Mediterranean and the mountains of Benahavís.

The horizontal volumes follow the slope of the land and create a seamless connection between the architecture, the garden, and the landscape.

Large glass surfaces blur the line between indoors and outdoors, allowing nature to become part of every room.

The architecture does not dominate the site. It engages in a dialogue with it.

The Construction of the Shadow

At Villa Azul, shade is an integral part of the design.

Large overhangs protect the facades from solar radiation, reduce heat gain, and allow outdoor spaces to be used year-round.

Porches become true outdoor living spaces where the light changes constantly throughout the day, creating an architecture in constant transformation.

Shade does more than just provide protection. It shapes the experience of living.

The glass becomes virtually invisible, amplifying natural light and extending the views of the surrounding area.

Each material has been chosen for its ability to age gracefully and retain its beauty over time.
